Trinamool leader Anuvrat Mandal, the Bahubali of Birbhum district, arrested in West Bengal's famous cattle smuggling case, has been ordered by the court to be kept in CBI custody for another 14 days.
On Friday, he was produced before the Special CBI Court in Asansol where Judge Rajesh Chakraborty ordered to keep him in CBI custody till March 17. Both the petitions are to be heard today.
It is noteworthy that Anuvrat Mandal has been in jail for nearly seven months after his arrest in the cattle smuggling case. He is lodged in the Asansol Central Jail.
